Windows 11 is on its way

Microsoft is promoting the new Windows 11 as a "new Windows experience, bringing you closer to the people and things you love."  Claiming to "provide a calm and creative space where you can pursue your passions through a fresh experience. From a rejuvenated Start menu to new ways to connect to your favorite people, news, games, and content—Windows 11 is the place to think, express, and create in a natural way."

Do you remember the change from Windows 95 to Windows 7? How about Windows 8 to Windows 10? Has there ever been a new operating system that provided "calm"?  Yeah we can't recall feeling that way with any of the new operating systems either, and heck we do this for a living. So what's the deal with the new Windows 11 and is it really worth it?  Keep reading and you'll learn a bit more about some of the features that will be available if and when you upgrade to Windows 11.

While Windows 11 isn't available yet, it is expected to be released later on this year.  While you are waiting for its release, we recommend you take some time to get ready.

Check to see if your current system meets the requirements needed to run Windows 11. If it does, you'll be able to upgrade to Windows 11 without paying a licensing fee.

Minimum system requirements

Certain features require specific hardware, see detailed system requirements here.
