Microsoft is promoting the new Windows 11 as a "new Windows experience, bringing you closer to the people and things you love."  Claiming to "provide a calm and creative space where you can pursue your passions through a fresh experience. From a rejuvenated Start menu to new ways to connect to your favorite people, news, games, and content—Windows 11 is the place to think, express, and create in a natural way."

Do you remember the change from Windows 95 to Windows 7? How about Windows 8 to Windows 10? Has there ever been a new operating system that provided "calm"?  Yeah we can't recall feeling that way with any of the new operating systems either, and heck we do this for a living. So what's the deal with the new Windows 11 and is it really worth it?  Keep reading and you'll learn a bit more about some of the features that will be available if and when you upgrade to Windows 11.

  • Multi-Task - Access all the apps you need and multi-task with ease with tools like Snap layouts, Desktops, and a new more-intuitive redocking experience. Windows 11 Snap feature will show three applications on one screen, maximizing your productivity.
  • New ways to connect Connect instantly to the people you care about right from your desktop with Microsoft Teams. Call or chat for free—no matter what device they're on.
  • Your content, curated by you - Using Microsoft Edge and a various Widgets you can stay up to date with the news, information, and entertainment that matters most to you.
  • Playtime. Anytime - Taking gaming to a whole new level with graphic capabilities that rival reality. 

While Windows 11 isn't available yet, it is expected to be released later on this year.  While you are waiting for its release, we recommend you take some time to get ready.

  • System firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable
  • TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0
  • Graphics card: DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x
  • Display: >9" with HD Resolution (720p)
  • Internet connection Microsoft account and internet connectivity required for setup for Windows 11 Home
